Equipped with a quick-release, crank-operated worktable, a worklight, X-pattern mounting grooves, a depth stop, and an adjustable tension spindle return spring, this drill press is ideal for repetitive drilling tasks with consistent depth.

Designed for the professional workshop, the Jet 354169 JDP-17MF 16-1/2-inch drill press can spin bits up to 5/8 of an inch, with 16 speeds ranging from 200 to 3,630 rpm. A 3/4-horsepower induction motor powers the belts, and the machine can run on either 115-volt or 230-volt sources, as it comes pre-wired for 115-volt operation.

The large 13-3/4-inch worktable glides smoothly with rack-and-pinion adjustment and can tilt up to 45 degrees to the right or left, accommodating your specific needs. A hinged metal belt-and-pulley cover provides easy access to the motor mount, allowing for quick spindle speed changes.

To personalize the press for your comfort and safety, you can adjust the tension on the spindle return spring and lock out the start button to protect others when you're away. The table's X-pattern mounting grooves also allow you to mount a fence when the table is in the reverse position. A built-in work light (bulb not included) enhances visibility in your work area.

The heavy round table with multiple slots allows you to position your vise or jigs as needed, and the table can be swiveled and adjusted in height. The spindle features an MT-2 taper, enabling the use of MT-2 tapered bits.
